JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), Jaipur, promoted by JK Organisation business group, has announced a change of leadership for the university leadership. Prof (Dr) Dheeraj Sanghi, a reputed computer scientist and academic has been appointed as the next Vice-chancellor. He will replace Prof R L Raina, who has been the VC since October 2015.
Prof Sanghi is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur where he had also been the Dean of Academic Affairs from 2011-2014. He has also taught at IIT Gandhinagar, IIIT Delhi, Ashoka University, and is a former Director of LNMIIT Jaipur and Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He also writes a very popular blog on contemporary issues in higher education, computer science and inter-disciplinary teaching.
