VIBGYOR Group of Schools, reently hosted the visiting MTV Lübeck Handball German Team as part of their India Tour 2026. Conducted across multiple Mumbai campuses, the initiative offered students a unique opportunity to experience international-level handball training, gameplay strategies, and professional athletic environments.
The multi-day engagement featured a structured mix of practice sessions and meet-and-greet opportunities, allowing students to interact directly with the visiting athletes. The tour commenced with an intensive practice session at VIBGYOR High, Kharghar, where students participated in drills focused on coordination, speed, and tactical execution. This was followed by interactive sessions at VIBGYOR High, Malad East and VIBGYOR High, Goregaon, where school teams had the opportunity to engage closely with the players and gain insights into the sport and the discipline required at a competitive level.
In addition to engaging with students and faculty, the visiting delegation also met Rustom Kerawalla, Chairman, VIBGYOR Group of Schools and Kavita Kerawalla, Vice Chairperson, VIBGYOR Group of Schools, resulting in meaningful interactions. The discussions focused on the growing culture of sports, its significance for holistic student development, and the role of international exposure in nurturing young athletes.
Through these sessions, students were introduced to international training methodologies, real-time gameplay scenarios, and the importance of teamwork and adaptability in high-performance sport. The presence of the MTV Lübeck team created an immersive learning environment that extended beyond conventional school-level training, reinforcing the role of sport in shaping learners’ confidence, resilience, and global outlook.

The event was successfully conducted across both the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai campuses, underscoring the scale, reach, and effective execution of the initiative. While VIBGYOR Group of Schools has consistently organized sports-centric student exchange programs to enrich learners’ experiences, this initiative marked a significant milestone as it hosted an international student exchange program focused on sports.
