Every year on May 25, people all around the world commemorate Africa Day to honor the vision and significant accomplishments made towards “An Integrated, Prosperous, and Peaceful Africa,” which is led by its people and is a dynamic force in the world. The Organization of African Unity was established on this day. The day honors the diversity and beauty of African culture as well as the continent’s togetherness. It is a day set aside to celebrate the advancements the continent has accomplished.
The NIU Cultural Committee and International Relations Office celebrated Africa Day on May 29, 2023, with the subject “African Culture,” to highlight the talent of our university’s African students.
Thabang Linus Kholumo, Charge’ d’ Affaires, High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Mrs. Marosa Fedel Makhojane Khojane, Third Secretary (Diplomat), High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho & other Staffs, Mr. Peter Hobwani, Deputy Ambassador/Head of Chancery Embassy of Zimbabwe and Amb. Faruk U. A, from Nigeria, is the President, Representative of the Association of African Students in India attended the program.
Prof. Dr. Uma Bhardwaj Vice-chancellor of Noida International University speaking on the significance of the occasion of Africa Day said, “We are pleased to inform you that Noida International University now has 13 schools. This year, the school of pharmacy was launched after receiving approval from the Indian Pharmacy Council.”
