Gaurs International School, Greater Noida West, celebrated its annual sports day, The Warrior, with immense zeal and enthusiasm. The grand event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Akshdeep Nath, renowned cricketer, along with distinguished dignitaries, including Mr. Manoj Gaur, Chairman & Managing Director of Gaurs Group; Mrs. Manju Gaur, Director of Gaurs Group of Schools; Mr. Sarthak Gaur, Director of Gaurs Group; Mrs. Rachna Babbar, Principal of GIS Greater Noida West; and the Principals of Gaurs International Schools from Yamuna City and Siddharth Vihar.

The day commenced with thrilling competitive events such as races, tug of war, shot put, kho-kho, kabaddi, and mini football, which showcased the students’ athletic prowess and team spirit. These activities set an energetic tone for the day and engaged participants and spectators alike.

Following this, the dignitaries were welcomed with an NCC guard of honor and honored with saplings and mementos. A grand March Past, ceremonial torch lighting, a torch relay, and a symbolic balloon release added to the grandeur of the occasion.

The event also featured a variety of enthralling performances, including chants by Gaurs Gurukulam students, a melodious BBBP choir, a stunning pyramid formation, yoga displays, vibrant skating drills, and zumba. Scholarship mementos were awarded to students excelling in academics, sports, and performing arts, recognizing their hard work and dedication.

Addressing the event, Mrs. Manju Gaur, Director of Gaurs Group of Schools, said: “At Gaurs Group, we believe in creating opportunities that go beyond the classroom, allowing students to explore their potential in diverse fields. Events like The Warrior are a reflection of our commitment to holistic development, where academics, sports, and cultural activities are given equal importance.

We ensure that every initiative, whether big or small, is supported by state-of-the-art facilities, expert guidance, and a collaborative environment involving teachers, parents, and students. Through platforms like this, we aim to not only celebrate talent but also inspire a culture of active participation, healthy competition, and lifelong learning. Such events are central to our philosophy of nurturing future-ready individuals equipped with confidence and leadership skills.”

The program concluded with inspiring speeches by the Chief Guest and Mrs. Manju Gaur, a dynamic closing dance, the prize distribution ceremony, and the National Anthem.
