Swinburne University of Technology has announced the George Swinburne International Excellence Scholarship for international students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in 2026-2027 at its Hawthorn campus. Eligible students will receive a 30 percent reduction in tuition fees for the standard duration of their program.
The scholarship recognises outstanding academic achievement and is designed to support high-performing international students pursuing their first course at Swinburne. The tuition fee discount will be applied across the full course duration, calculated from the course start date through to the course end date.
The Scholarship reflects Swinburne’s commitment to attracting academically talented students from around the world and supporting them throughout their academic journey.
International students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs at the Hawthorn campus for the first time in 2026 will be considered, subject to eligibility criteria.
Eligibility: To apply for the Scholarship, a candidate must:
- meet all course-specific requirements.
- not be receiving a Swinburne tuition fee scholarship or any other reduced fee arrangement simultaneously.
- not receive any other tuition fee scholarship or reduced fee arrangement from another organisation at the same time.
- Where multiple arrangements are applicable, Swinburne will apply the most favourable option.
Application Deadline: 26th June 2026
How to Apply: Students applying to commence an eligible course for the first time in 2027 at Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus will be automatically considered for available international scholarships based on their previous academic performance. Successful applicants will receive a letter of offer confirming admission, which will also indicate if they have been awarded an international scholarship.
