The 1M1B job mela organized by 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) in collaboration with the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA) and APSSDC, Government of Andhra Pradesh, on July 22, witnessed over 200 youth getting selected in various job roles in Kuppam. The job mela was attended by over 500+ youth from Chittoor and Kuppam regions with qualifications ranging from 10th and 12th pass to ITI, diploma holders, and graduates. In addition to interviews and recruitment sessions, attendees also participated in interactive career guidance and skill development sessions, gaining valuable insights into corporate work culture and interview preparation.
The two-day 1M1B Job Mela in the Kuppam region brought together over 20 reputed companies and hundreds of aspiring candidates from across South India. The event began with a a pre placement and screening workshop on July 21, followed by the main 1M1B Job Mela on July 22, offering candidates a platform to directly interact with recruiters from leading industries including manufacturing, IT/ITES, BFSI, retail, education, telecom, and ed-tech.
More than 20 companies — including well-known names like Tech Mahindra, Flipkart, MedPlus, Puma, DHL, Muthoot Finance, Suguna Foods, Raymond, Apollo Pharmacy, and Hetero — participated in the recruitment drive, offering job roles across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, and Maharashtra.
The Job Mela was inaugurated by Shri Vikas Marmat, IAS, KADA, Shri Sumit Kumar, District Collector, Chittoor, Shri Srikanth Kancharla, MLC, Government Whip and attended by officials from KADA, other industry leaders, and members of the 1M1B team. Youth from cities such as Kuppam, Chittoor, Chennai, and nearby areas participated enthusiastically.
