Jagran Lakecity University (JLU) recently marked eight years of its establishment. The Foundation Day of JLU, celebrated with the theme of ‘Educating with a Vision’, featured a series of high spirited, virtual events led by the students, staff, and alumni. The university in addition to Foundation Day celebrations took the opportunity to launch JLUET; the Online Entrance Test for UG & PG degrees on offer at the university.
Some of the world-renowned personalities present included, Nirav Khambati, Partner at Kaizen Private Equity, who added that, “In such a short time, JLU has taken giant strides in the world of higher education and I have no doubt that in the future, JLU will scale and reach new heights”. Other eminent personalities included Prof. Col. Shishir Kumar, Director General, ImagineXP; Alpana Chaturvedi, CEO, My Logistics Gurukul; Jaideep Gupta, Founder, and CEO, Univariety; Kunal Sinha, Principal Consultant, WARC Advisory; Hal Serudin, Divisional Corporate Communication Manager, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars; Nishith KL Bhandarkar, General Manager, Wizcraft International Entertainment; Bhaskar Ranjan Das, Associate Director, AICPA and CIMA, among others.
In less than a decade, JLU recognised by the UGC, has become one of the fastest growing and one of the most awarded universities of Central India, having practice-based pedagogy at its core. JLU has also inked partnerships with more than 40 leading organisations and universities from all over the world. More recently JLU established the Jagran Wizcraft MIME school of Entertainment and Events; the first entertainment and events school of central India. Launch of Central India’s first Liberal Arts school, offering an inter-disciplinary approach to higher education is being prepared for launch in May, 2021. The University was previously awarded the QS IGauge E-Learning Excellence for Academic Digitization (E-Lead) Certification 2020. It has been bestowed with several prestigious awards, such as ‘University of the Year’ by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019 and is recognized as a Global League Institution in 2015 at the House of Commons, London, UK, among others.
Hari Mohan Gupta, Chancellor, JLU attributed the success and accomplishments so far to the members of faculty and the students, he added that “In the present scenario, keeping in mind the pandemic, faculty members have made JLU proud with their constant efforts.
