Anurag University based in Hyderabad hosted its 2nd Convocation Ceremony on July 19 for its graduating class of 2025. Over 2,260 students were conferred degrees in the presence of family members, university leaders, esteemed guests, and faculty.

The ceremony, held at the university’s prestigious APJ Abdul Kalam Hall, was a vibrant gathering of intellect and inspiration. With degrees awarded across three of seven major schools of Anurag University—Engineering, Pharmacy, and Management—the day stood as a testament to Anurag’s commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders.

The convocation formally began with an academic procession, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the national anthem. The event was presided over by university dignitaries including Dr. P. Rajeshwar Reddy, Chairman, Anurag University, Dr. U.B. Desai, Hon’ble Chancellor; Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor; and Mrs. S. Neelima, CEO of Anurag University.

Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman of the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) delivered the convocational address, in which he acknowledged the rapid evolution of the education sector and encouraged graduates to embrace both innovation and social responsibility. “Graduates of Anurag University, your journey ahead is filled with endless possibilities. The education you have received is your foundation. What you build upon it is yours to shape—with curiosity, courage, and a sense of duty. India needs not just thinkers, but doers who can take us forward in science, technology, and humanity,” he said.

Also present as Guest of Honour was Dr. P. Subba Rao, Chairman and MD of Ananth Technologies, a leading name in India’s aerospace and satellite domain. His address highlighted the increasing role young professionals will play in propelling India into a technology-driven future. “The world is looking at India as a hub of innovation. The students graduating today are not just job-seekers—they are future creators. I urge each of you to dream boldly, fail wisely, and lead fearlessly,” he noted.

In her welcome address, Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor, reflected on the Class of 2025 and their resilience in navigating an ever-changing global landscape: “At Anurag, we believe in nurturing holistic individuals who are not only academically equipped but socially conscious and emotionally intelligent. This class has exemplified those values. We are proud of their achievements and confident in their journey ahead.”

Echoing this sentiment, Dr. U.B. Desai, Chancellor, emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and social contribution: “Convocation is not an end, but a beginning—an opportunity to take your learning into the world and create meaningful impact. I encourage every graduate to stay curious, collaborate, and above all, lead with empathy.” As part of the ceremony, 10 doctoral degrees were awarded, acknowledging cutting-edge research conducted by scholars in key scientific and engineering domains. Over 75 gold medalists and academic toppers were also honoured for their exceptional performance, receiving medals and certificates on stage to loud applause.
