Some CBSE students report they are facing with the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) regarding rank rectifications after receiving revised CBSE Class 12 results following an official revaluation process. KEA allegedly is not updating ranks as a result of the revision in qualifying criteria for the KCET ranking. They further alleged helpdesk numbers have been unreachable, and official emails regarding revaluation updates are ignored. “Upon physically visiting the KEA office in Malleswaram, the desk staff informed me that no provision exists for this. They instructed me to submit a physical appeal letter alongside my old and new marksheet photocopies, which I have done. They refused to give me any written acknowledgement for this submission I made. The KCET option entry and counseling process is moving rapidly. Despite submitting the physical proof, KEA has not updated my rank,” says one of the students. Without a corrected rank reflecting the upgraded board marks, students fear losing to rightful college seat entirely due to KEA administrative delays.
