Delivering the Convocation address, Governor of Gujarat said, “IRMA and now the “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University, is the realisation of a big dream shared by Dr. Verghese Kurien and the late Tribhuvan Das ji Patel, who devoted his entire life to the welfare of farmers through cooperatives. A revered contemporary, Sardar Shri Vallabhbhai Patel, also worked tirelessly for the upliftment of rural lives. These three visionaries believed that the comforts and facilities available to urban citizens should equally reach people in villages — enabling them to lead lives of dignity and opportunity.”

“Through the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, our country is advancing at a rapid pace, doubling the milk revolution. Farmers will prosper, the rural economy will grow, and a new milestone will be set in India’s cooperative sector,” the Hon’ble Governor said.

Reiterating the Prime Minister’s vision for a prosperous rural India, he added, “This University of Cooperation is the outcome of the far-sighted thinking of Prime Minister Modi and Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji. From the land of Gujarat, the Cooperative University now aims to take this idea forward in the spirit of nationalism.”
