The IIMUN Surat – 2024 conference held from April 26-28 by Gajera Global School Surat in association with Gajera Trust and Sunitaโs Makerspace concluded successfully with Gajera Global School being awarded the trophy for Best Participating School.
IIMUN SURAT-2024 provided a platform to the youth where they can think, research, accept the ideas of fellow members by debating and to develop global leadership qualities among the learners from an early age.ย More thanย 500 delegatesย from more thanย 30 schoolsย participated in it. During this conference, as many as 34 presiding officers arrived from different states of the country. A total ofย 17 committeesย were formed which includedย Lok Sabha, Niti Aayog, UNSC, UNEP, IPLย etc where delegates strongly presented their ideas during the debate. The closing ceremony was held on 28 April, in which theย Director of SVNIT-SURAT Dr. Anupam Shuklaย was especially present and encouraged the learners. In the closing ceremony, the first three winners from all the committees were felicitated withย certificates. Gajera Global Schoolย was awarded theย trophyย forย Best Participating Schoolย atย IIMUN SURAT-2024. Gajera Trustย congratulates all and wished them for their bright future.
Dr. R. Chidambaram,ย a renownedย Scientistย of the country andย President at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre,ย who was the chief guest for inaugural session, shared insight of developed India and imparting an understanding of the scientific approach to the children. Chief Guestย and notedย Musicianย Mr. Leslee Lewisย enthralled and enthused the audience with a live performance.ย Mr. Rameshbhai Vaghasia, President of Chamber of Commerce Suratย and theย Youngest Female Pilotย Ms. Maitri Patelย also showed up for the event. Managing Trustee Shree Chunibhai Gajeraย welcomed all the guests.
