Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), Hyderabad, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Institute of Logistics, to develop a new pipeline of industry-ready management professionals for India’s rapidly evolving logistics and supply chain sector. The collaboration will integrate industry expertise, practical training and corporate engagement into VJIM’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme, creating stronger pathways from management education to employment in one of India’s strategically important growth sectors.
The partnership is expected to expand career opportunities for VJIM’s PGDM students across logistics providers, e-commerce companies, manufacturing enterprises, retail organisations, consulting firms and Global Capability Centres (GCCs), where supply chain planning, procurement intelligence, operations transformation and analytics are increasingly becoming critical business functions.
Under the MoU, CII Institute of Logistics will bring its industry network, sectoral expertise, corporate relationships and professional development capabilities into VJIM’s academic ecosystem. The collaboration will facilitate industry-led classroom sessions, practitioner interactions, mentorship from logistics and supply chain professionals, exposure to operational best practices, industrial visits and opportunities for internships and placement support.
Students will gain exposure to the practical complexities of modern supply chains, including procurement strategies, inventory optimisation, transportation management, demand forecasting, digital supply chain systems and the growing application of artificial intelligence and automation in logistics.
