Veranda K-12, a Veranda Learning enterprise, has announced the third season of AVINYA: An Innovation Hub, its flagship Innovation Challenge that encourages students to identify real-world challenges and develop solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2026–27 edition will expand its reach to 100+ cities and towns.
The competition will begin with online submissions, followed by a presentation round to shortlist 50–60 ideas. The top 15 teams will advance to the National Grand Finale at IIIT Bengaluru on December 4–5, 2026.
The two-day programme will feature interactions with startup founders, an innovation bootcamp and mentorship to help participants refine their ideas and pitches before the final presentations. The Top 3 ideas will receive special recognition, while all finalists will receive Amazon Kindle devices with curated, age-appropriate books. Participants will also gain industry exposure through the PUMA Corporate Experience Programme by Mindler.
The distinguished jury for AVINYA 2026–27 comprises Krishnan Ravindran, P&O Advisory, PwC Academy; Dr. Lalith Prasad, Head – Professional Development & Education (South Asia), Cambridge Assessment; Prateek Madhav, Co-founder & CEO, AssisTech Foundation; and Vikas Revankar, Innovation & Strategy Execution Lead, Life Science Industry.
