This year August, Vedam School of Technology, in collaboration with Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU), inaugurated its founding batch (Class of 2025–29) through a five-day Orientation Week (August 11–15), designed to foster an AI-first, project-driven learning culture.

For Vedam, the Orientation Week was more than an induction – it was the beginning of a movement where learning goes beyond theory, encouraging students to create impactful solutions for an AI-powered future. With ADYPU’s partnership and strong industry connect, Vedam is set to emerge as a hub for cutting-edge education, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

The founding batch, comprising high achievers including 97+ JEE Main percentilers, brought enthusiasm and creativity to campus initiatives like “Pitch Please” and Fresher’s Night. Parents actively engaged in sessions like “Breakfast with Founder” and campus tours, praising Vedam’s blend of academic rigor, forward-looking pedagogy, and strong community values.

The inaugural ceremony saw participation from ADYPU leadership, including Vice Chancellor Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, Dean Dr. Sunil Ingole, and Registrar Dr. Sudhakar Shinde, alongside Vedam Co-founder Piyush Nangru, who emphasized building “innovators, not just graduates.”

Industry leaders including Mayur Datar (Microsoft), Ankit Aggarwal (Unstop), Anurag Gaggar (MakeMyTrip), and Ankit Agarwal (Alteria Capital) inspired students to embrace generative AI, entrepreneurial thinking, and skills-based growth. A creator panel and mentorship sessions provided practical roadmaps, from learning Git to developing real-world projects.

A thought-provoking panel, “Beyond the Algorithm,” featuring Nishant Chahar (Vedam), Yash Garg (Bain & Co.), Kavach Khanna (mentor, ex-EY), and Urvi Goel (Microsoft), explored themes of entrepreneurship, personal branding, and the journey from content creator to founder.

Hands-on mentorship by Basant Rawat (Angel One) and Ekta Shah (MSCI) offered a practical 30-day roadmap: learning Git, developing projects, presenting to mentors, and refining skills for industry readiness. Vedam’s Head of Academic Delivery, Subhesh Kumar, also introduced students to Innovation Labs and student-led clubs, highlighting platforms for collaborative learning and real-world problem solving.

Piyush Nangru described Vedam as “a community where conviction, collaboration, and curiosity define the path to progress… where technology meets ingenuity, and ideas turn into real solutions.”

With Innovation Labs, student clubs, and a selective intake of high achievers (including 97+ JEE Main percentilers), Vedam positioned itself as a hub where creativity meets technology. Activities like “Pitch Please” and “Breakfast with Founder” further reflected the institute’s collaborative ethos.
