The Alumni Association of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) has launched a digital alumni engagement platform powered by AlmaShines, marking a new step towards strengthening connections among the institution’s global alumni community.
The platform was inaugurated by SRIHER Chancellor V.R. Venkataachalam in the presence of Trustee Samyuktha Venkatachalam. Around 500 alumni representing diverse professions and batches participated in the launch event.
On the occasion, the SRIHER Alumni Association also awarded scholarships to meritorious students, reaffirming its commitment to promoting academic excellence and supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals.
The new digital platform is aimed at strengthening lifelong engagement between SRIHER and its alumni while creating opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, professional networking and community service.
Three distinguished alumni attended the event as special guests: Dr. Haripriya Aravind, Head of Cataract and IOL Services at Aravind Eye Hospital, Chennai; Dr. Saveetha Rajesh, Director of The Pupil International School and NMV University, Chennai; and Dr. Yashwanth Kumar V., Honorary Consul of the Republic of El Salvador.
The launch marks a new chapter in SRIHER’s alumni engagement efforts, bringing its alumni community onto a common digital platform and providing greater avenues for continued association with the institution.
