Sharda University on December 18 celebrated its 29th Foundation Day in conjunction with World Minority Day. The event, organized in collaboration with the District Minority Welfare Department, featured various cultural performances by students.

The occasion was graced by notable dignitaries including Abdul Rashid Ansari, President BJP Minority Morcha; Dr. Anuj Jain; Ishwar Chand Jain; Jyoti Acharya; Mahesh Jain; SDM Sadar Charul Yadav; and SDM Dadri Anuj Nehra. The university’s Chancellor, Mr. P.K. Gupta, and Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Y.K. Gupta, honored them. Trustee of Sharda Group, Ms. Priyanka Jain, welcomed District Minority Welfare Officer Yukti Pandey. Scholarships were also awarded to minority students selected by the Uttar Pradesh government.

Speaking at the event, Yukti Pandey highlighted the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, reflecting India’s rich heritage of unity in diversity across cultures, languages, castes, and religions. “Our Constitution upholds the principle of equality and prohibits discrimination. In line with this vision, Sharda University prioritizes minority representation and fosters a harmonious, inclusive campus environment. Our nation respects every religion, and our Constitution provides rights and significance to minorities,” she said.

P.K. Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University expressed pride in the university’s contribution to education, stating, “Sharda University’s mission goes beyond imparting education. We aim to empower students, guide them towards achieving their dreams, and prepare them to bring about societal transformation. This journey is both challenging and exciting, and our collective efforts are crucial in elevating the institution to greater heights.”

Ashok Jain, General Secretary, All India Shri Atma Vallabh Jain Mahasangh and Editor-in-Chief of Vijayanand magazine, emphasized Jainism’s ancient roots, stating, “Jainism is the oldest religious tradition with neither a beginning nor an end. It emphasizes self-reliance, self-discipline, and self-purification to unlock the potential of human virtues. Essentially, it is a religion of victors over the self. Adherence to non-violence and integrity shapes human character over time, bringing individuals closer to God and inner happiness. True character building takes not years but ages.”

The program was attended by ADCP Ashok Singh; Mr. Prashant Gupta, CEO of Sharda Group of Institutions;  Mr. Rishabh Gupta ,Vice President, Sharda Hospital; Registrar Dr. Vivek Kumar Gupta; Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sibaram Khara; Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parmanand; Deans Dr. R.C. Singh and Dr. Bhuvnesh Kumar; PR Director Dr. Ajit Kumar; and various other deans and heads of departments.
