Sanfort Preschool, country’s first IB preschool chain, marking 16 years of its journey with a two-day celebratory event ‘Udaan’ at Kamani Auditorium, Mandi House, New Delhi on 23-24 December. It brought together students, parents, teachers and members of the larger Sanfort family, many of whom have been part of the organisation’s growth over the years.
The program was shaped around a simple thought, giving children the opportunity to express themselves freely while engaging with ideas that go beyond routine classroom learning. One of the most talked-about moments of the program was a musical play presented by Sanfortees. It is through music and storytelling, the play explored the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – One Earth, One Family, One Future’. The participating children touched upon ideas of coexistence, shared responsibility and care for the world they are growing up in.
The two-day program kept children at the centre. The performances focused on participation and confidence, with teachers guiding students through rehearsals and encouraging them to work together and grow comfortable on stage. Parents present at the program noted the clarity with which children expressed complex ideas, something that came through not just in the musical play but also in their confidence on stage.
Speaking on the occasion, Sneha Rathor Khandelwal, CEO, Sanfort Group of Schools said, “Udaan has been a reflection of what these sixteen years have meant for us. Watching children communicate such meaningful ideas in their own way reminds us why early learning has to go beyond textbooks. The theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam connects naturally with the values we try to introduce in our classrooms every day.”
