Ramagya Sports Academy, Noida has announced the addition of ‘Fencing’ to its list of sports training. Introducing the sport is expected to benefit the students who wish to explore Olympic disciplines at an early stage. Apart from physical conditioning, Fencing helps develop balance, coordination, discipline, decision-making and mental alertness, making it a sport that contributes to overall personality development.
Fencing is often referred to as the fastest combat sport because it demands exceptional reflexes, agility, and physical fitness. The sport is played in three disciplines: foil, épée and sabre. Success in the sport requires not only agility but also timing, precision and anticipation.
Speaking on the development, Utkarsh Gupta, Managing Director, Ramagya Group, said, “Sport can shape character as much as it develops physical ability. By introducing fencing at Ramagya Sports Academy, we want to give students access to another Olympic discipline while encouraging them to experience a sport that demands focus, discipline, agility and quick decision-making. We endeavour to ensure that young athletes have the opportunity to explore different sporting avenues under professional guidance.” Ramagya Sports Academy offers training across more than 35 sports disciplines.
