Rabindranath Tagore University is set to host the international conference Shodh Shikhar 2026 on February 6 and 7 at its campus. The event aims to bring together scientists, researchers, academicians, and students (undergraduate and postgraduate) to present their work and engage in dialogue around innovation, science communication, and sustainable development.
Shodh Shikhar Vigyaan Parv 2026 includes a wide range of themes —
- Engineering, Technology, and Green Innovation
- Science Communication for Sustainable Futures
- Indian Knowledge Systems and Sustainable Innovations
- Humanities, Arts, and Sustainable Societies
- Modern Science for Societal Impact
- Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security, and Rural Innovation
- Business, Management, and the Green Economy
- Holistic Health, Wellness, and Environmental Well-being
- Education for Innovation and Sustainability
- Law, Governance, and Green Policy through the Lens of SDGs
Pro Chancellor Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats remarked, “Shodh Shikhar 2026 is not just a celebration of science—it is a platform to ignite scientific thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship among youth. The categories of research papers, projects, and idea commercialization offer students the chance to transform ideas into real-world solutions.”
Participants can compete in three categories, Research Papers, Research Projects, and Idea Commercialization, with opportunities to win awards of up to INR5 lakh along with certificates of recognition.
- Research Paper — Open to UG/PG students, research scholars, academicians, and scientists. Multiple submissions per individual are permitted.
- Research Project — Open to diploma, UG, and PG students. Teams may comprise up to four students and one faculty mentor. A maximum of five projects per institution will be accepted.
- Idea Commercialization — Teams of up to four participants may submit patent-ready products or innovations for evaluation.
The conference will feature prominent voices from academia and industry, including international corporate leaders. Notable speakers include Michael Sklowaski, Venture Founder at FarmRise One (Bayer), and Dr. Vinod Shivren, Head of Crop Protection Development at Syngenta. Both will speak on Innovations for Impact: Advancing Green Technologies and SDGs.
In addition to the competition, the conference will feature skill-building workshops led by experts on topics such as research paper writing, voice modulation, and other essential competencies.
