Parul University recently hosted theย 3rd Edition of IIMUN Vadodara Conclave, featuring a series of captivating keynote addresses and thought-provoking discussions on pressing global and national issues. The event drew an impressive audience of overย 25,000 participantsย from across the state and country. The conclave was graced byย Dr. S. Somanath (Chairman of ISRO), Anupam Kher, Igor Luksic, and Shashi Tharoor, who shared their valuable insights.
As an opening note to the conclave, the dynamicย Founder of IIMUN,ย Rishabh Shah, reflected on the works and achievements ofย IIMUNย and its collaboration withย Parul Universityย in fostering a global dialogue.
Dr. S. Somnath, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), virtually honoured the 3rd Edition of the IIMUN Vadodara Conclave as a distinguished guest, captivating the audience with his visionary insights and profound reflections.ย Dr. Somanathย highlighted Indiaโs extraordinary milestones in space exploration and emphasized the transformative power of innovation and perseverance in advancing the frontiers of science. During his keynote address, he said,ย โWe have a great legacy for knowledge creation. Itโs important to place our people in leadership positions. I think everywhere we need Indians to be placed – from universities, NGOs, to advocacy. We need to come forward to create that vibrant ecosystem.โ
Addressing the audience,ย Anupam Kher, actor stated,ย โFailure is an event. Never a person.โย He further added, โLife is a sum total of failures. Life is not a sum total of successes.โย His inspiring words deeply resonated with the students, motivating them to face lifeโs challenges with confidence, perseverance, and an unwavering belief in their abilities.
Dr. Shashi Tharoor, renowned Author, Parliamentarian, and former Diplomat, captivated the audience at the IIMUN Vadodara Conclave with his eloquence and depth of knowledge. He said,ย โIf you have an idea of who you are, and if you can be anchored to yourself, then you can be the best version of yourself that you have the power to be. And then no one can accuse you of letting yourself down.โ
Igor Luksic, former Prime Minister of Montenegro, brought an international perspective to the conclave, emphasizing the significance of collaboration in leadership. Reflecting on his tenure as a global leader, he shared insights into diplomacy, conflict resolution, and fostering partnerships between nations. He also discussed the importance of cultural exchange and understanding in creating cohesive and progressive societies.
