The National Testing Agency (NTA) responding to controversy over grace marks to 1563 candidates owing to loss of time in NEET-UG 2024 held on May 5, has announced that the scores of 1,563 NEET-UG 2024 candidates had been invalidated. The NTA has informed the Supreme Court hearing various petitions on the issue that a re-examination for these candidates will take place on June 23. The results and counselling are expected by June 30.

Now these 1,563 candidates will receive their actual scores without any additional marks. Those who opt out of the re-exam will have their results declared based on their original marks from the May 5 examination, without any compensatory marks. For those who participate in the retest, their scores from the May 5, 2024, exam will be disregarded, and their marks from the retest will be considered.
