The NIIT Foundation, last month signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of College Education, Government of Rajasthan to strengthen youth employability across the state. Dr. Om Prakash Bairwa, Commissioner, Department of College Education, Government of Rajasthan was present.
Under the three-year partnership, the initiative aims to skill one lakh youth across Rajasthan with industry-relevant competencies aligned to current and emerging workforce needs. The collaboration is aligned with the Rajasthan Skill Development Policy 2025, which focuses on preparing the state’s workforce for global competitiveness through reskilling and upskilling, and the Rajasthan Youth Policy 2025, which seeks to harness the potential of the state’s 28% youth population through skill enhancement, social entrepreneurship, and leadership development.
Amar Gupta, Operations Director, NIIT Foundation, providing an overview of the partnership said, “By focusing on digital and employability-linked capabilities, we aim to bridge the gap between education and employment while contributing to the broader national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, which places skilling at the centre of India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.”
The NIIT Foundation focuses on expanding access to opportunity for underserved youth, particularly women and first-generation learners, through initiatives in digital and financial literacy, STEM education, employability, and livelihood training.
