The results for NEET-UG 2025, India’s premier medical entrance examination, were declared on June 14, prompting jubilation across the country, particularly in coaching hubs like Kota, Rajasthan, Delhi etc. With over 22.7 lakh candidates registered and approximately 20.9 lakh appearing, NEET 2025 reaffirmed its reputation as one of the toughest academic contests in the nation.

The examination was held on May 4 across 5,468 centres in 13 languages, offering access to nearly 2.4 lakh medical seats, including 1.18 lakh MBBS positions, a slight increase from last year’s 1.15 lakh.

 Tougher Exam, Lower Cut-Offs

Unlike NEET 2024’s relatively easier paper which produced 67 perfect scores, NEET 2025 saw a significant dip in the top scores. The highest score this year was 686 out of 720, with no student achieving a perfect score.

Cut-off scores also dropped:

  • General/EWS: 144 (↓18 marks from 2024)
  • OBC/SC/ST: 113 (↓14 marks from 2024)

These figures reflect a general consensus that the paper was more challenging than in previous years.

Allen Institute Shines with 4 in Top 10, 39 in Top 100

Allen Career Institute reinforced its national dominance by placing 4 students in the Top 10 and 39 in the Top 100.

Key results:

  • Mrinal Jha (AIR 4) – Classroom student
  • Bhavya Chirag Jha (AIR 8) – Classroom student
  • Keshav Mittal (AIR 7) – Classroom student
  • Aarav Agarwal (AIR 10) – Distance education
  • Aashi Singh (AIR 12) – 2nd in Girls Category

CEO Nitin Kukreja shared that 30 of the Top 100 were from Allen’s classroom program, and the rest from distance and online learning programs.

“Excellence and authenticity are our cornerstones,” said Kukreja, noting that Allen has partnered with EY India to validate the results. “Every fourth AIIMS student last year was from Allen. In 2024, over 10,450 students from Allen secured government medical college seats.”

Allen’s directors, including Dr. Govind Maheshwari and Rajesh Maheshwari, congratulated students and emphasized the institute’s legacy, having produced 13 NEET AIR-1s in the last 16 years.

Motion Education Celebrates with NEET Achievers

At Motion Education, excitement was in the air as 7 students secured positions in the Top 100, and 18 in the Top 500. A grand celebration was held at Daksh Campus, Kota, to honor these achievements.

Key achievers included:

  • Keshav Mittal (AIR 7)
  • MD Yusuf (AIR 18)
  • Darshan Mule (AIR 19)
  • Prateek Singh (AIR 50)
  • Raghav Goyal (AIR 62)
  • Anushka Shukrawal (AIR 72)
  • Jatin Kumar (AIR 85)

Chairman Surendra Vijay, Director Sushila Vijay, and NEET Division Head Amit Verma addressed the gathering, applauding the hard work of students and faculty.

Students credited their success to Motion’s experienced faculty, rigorous test series, and Kota’s focused academic environment. Many emphasized the value of the Brahmastra Test Series, which simulated the NEET exam pattern and helped them assess and improve their weak areas.

Founder & CEO Nitin Vijay (NV Sir) advised students to approach the counselling phase with strategic precision. “Strategy matters as much as scores now,” he said, highlighting the importance of understanding state quota rules, category seats, and domicile variations.

What’s Next: Counselling Phase

With results declared, attention now turns to counselling, expected to begin in July 2025.

Key Points for Students:

  • AIQ Counselling (15% seats) by MCC
  • State Quota Counselling (85%) by respective state authorities
  • Prepare necessary documents: scorecard, ID, domicile, and category certificates
  • Monitor official updates for choice filling and seat allotments

Students are advised to research carefully before locking in choices, as availability varies by state rules, category, and annual updates in seat allotments.
