A one-day national conference on the theme of Nation Building & Role of Deprived Sections was hosted by Tilak PG College, Jaipur on April 24. The annual conference by Delhi-based Centre for Social Development (CSD), among 250 others was attended by Union Minister of state  for Parliamentary Affairs, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Nimbaram (Social Activist), Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore (Ex- Minister, Member of Parliament), Dr. Lalit K. Panwar (Retd. IAS, Chancellor Global University), Prof. Manroop Meena (Pro. Chancellor IGNOU), Dr. Narendra Kumar Meena (IAS, Gujarat), Ms. Seema Hingonia (Additional SP, RPA) and Dr. Sanjay Kumar (President, RUTA).

The conference was attended by around 250 participants comprising mainly top policymakers including concerned Academicians, Intellectuals, Research Scholars, Social reformers & Social activists, and Students of various Universities across the Country.

Arjun Ram Meghwal in his observations focused on the important role of people like Kalibai, Gangu Mentar and the martyrs of Mandar Dham in nation building and also spoke of, Swami Vivekananda getting a lot of inspiration through the hymns of Mena Bai. While discussing on the caste system, Nimbaram said that a large number of people belonging to the marginalized class, under the guise of others, consider the general class or upper caste people as their enemies and there is a split in the society. “We have to avoid such situations and the society will have to unite.”

Dr. Lalit K Panwar  threw light on the life of Dr. B R Ambedkar and his role in nation building. Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore said that not only the deprived class but also the general class will have to make their full contribution in the development and welfare of the underprivileged.

Professor Manrup Meena said that it has to be ensured that the people of the deprived sections are not deprived of their rights and facilities availed by the government. Seema Hindonia educated the audience  about the SC ST Prevention Act (1983) and its use.

Academicians, Intellectuals, Research Scholars, Social reformers & Social activists, and Students of various universities across the country who were in attendance appreciated Dr. Raj Kumar Falwadia’ and Dr. Vishakha, Principal Tilak PG College who presided over the conference for the wonderful deliberations. Dr. Jai Singh Meena, Dr. Mamta Meena and Dr. Sunil, who moderated the sessions were brilliant as well.
