In a landmark gathering, more than 1,000 alumni of the Vidya Bharati Alumni Council –East Region (Bihar–Jharkhand) residing in Delhi-NCR came together for the organisation’s first-ever “Alumni Sangam 2025” in the national capital on December 7, 2025. The event aimed to unite alumni on a shared platform and strengthen their participation in social service, education, healthcare, leadership development, cultural preservation, and nation-building initiatives.

The programme was graced by Dr. Krishna Gopal (Co-Sarkaryavah, RSS), Shri Govind Chand Mahant (National Organisation Minister, Vidya Bharati), Shri Alok Kumar Tiwari, Prof. Chandrachud Singh, Mr. Khyali Ram, and Mr. Rahul Singhal, who addressed the gathering and encouraged the alumni to take up larger roles in shaping society.

The event also outlined an expanded roadmap: intensified outreach in education and healthcare, greater organisational participation of Bihar–Jharkhand alumni in national leadership, and stronger engagement of youth in service and social responsibility. Key resolutions were passed to further strengthen Indian culture, values, and nationalism in public life.

In his inspirational keynote, Dr. Krishna Gopal said, “Alumni are any institution’s greatest social asset. When they work together, they accelerate the process of positive change in society. India has always carried ancient ideals that guided the world. A strong nation can emerge only through a balance of spiritual consciousness and material prosperity, as envisioned in the Upanishads.”

Speaking on the spirit of collective responsibility, Shri Govind Chand Mahant noted, “The country gives us everything, and now we must learn to give back. Vidya Bharati has always worked to promote Indian culture and traditions, and it is our duty to carry this forward.”

Prof. Chandrachud Singh reminded the audience of the values imparted by Vidya Bharati, saying, “We are all one family, and we must always work with dedication toward the service of Mother India.”

Addressing the role of Bihar and Jharkhand in national development, Mr. Khyali Ram remarked, “We need a massive outreach campaign in education and health. People talk about Bihar, but I have lived Bihar. The region has given much to the country—and will continue to do so.”

Encouraging youth involvement, Shri Alok Kumar Tiwari said, “We must abandon negative thinking and move forward with positivity. Today’s youth must be aware, active, and responsible.”

Calling upon young alumni to contribute vigorously, Shri Rahul Singhal urged them to participate in nation-building through innovation, entrepreneurship, and service.

Regional coordinator Santosh Gupta, along with Saurabh, Hemant, Priyanshu, Jayakishore, and the entire organising committee, played a vital role in the event’s success.

The programme concluded with a banquet and interactive session, where participants pledged to work collectively for organisation-building, social service, and national development.

The Vidya Bharati Alumni Council boasts of a robust network of over 1.06 million registered alumni across 11 regions and 28 provinces, actively involved in service and community development.
