MDI, Gurgaon, has redesigned the ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Public Policy and Management (PGDM-PPM). The program allows policymakers/decision-makers to develop comprehensive competency by integrating experience and evidence to make value judgments by aligning government vision with citizens’ values.
The 16th ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Public Policy and Management (PGDM-PPM)’ total duration (length) shall be 18 months, out of which 15 months will be at MDI Gurgaon, to be followed by three months for a Policy Paper, which shall be undertaken by the participants at the respective workplaces (place of posting). The policy paper is aligned to fill the void on the subject of interest of the government.
The program is designed to bridge the core competencies of the government officers on behavioral competency (cognitive gain, behavioral change, and citizen centricity) by aligning core courses on functional competency for productive efficiency and domain competency for professional effectiveness. After developing the core competency, the PGDM (PPM) last two semesters focused on developing specialized expertise in three areas of domain specialization. The three domains of specialization will evolve with the emerging demand for topical policy and governance issues. It is proposed to provide specialization in the field of (i) citizen-centric governance and effective public system management, (ii) effective and efficient leadership in collaborative governance, and (iii) innovative global and regional sustainable development policies and practices. A brochure of the program is attached for your perusal.
