Macquarie University, one of Australia’s top ten universities, and KREA University, a leading educational institution in India have opened applications for their joint, dual degree bachelor’s program in Liberal Arts, designed specifically for Indian students seeking a globally integrated academic experience.
This first-of-its-kind program enables students to pursue an interdisciplinary liberal arts education across two countries, combining academic depth with international exposure. The initiative marks a significant step in advancing collaborative higher education pathways between India and Australia.
Under the program structure, students will begin their academic journey at KREA University, enrolling in the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with specialisations in History, Political Science, or Sociology. Over the first two years, students will engage with KREA’s distinctive liberal arts curriculum, focused on developing critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and research capabilities.
Upon successful completion of the second year, eligible students will transition to Macquarie University in Sydney to complete their Bachelor of Arts, with majors aligned to their chosen disciplines, including Modern History, Politics, or Sociology. Students enrolling in the dual degree pathway will also be eligible for a scholarship of AUD 10,000 to support their academic journey in Australia. At the end of the academic period, students will be awarded degrees from both institutions.
Applications are now open, with the deadline set for 11 May 2026. Interested students can visit KREA University for further details and application guidelines: https://krea.edu.in/sias/krea-macquarie/
