Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), a diversified technology company, hosted the Kids Witness News (KWN) India Felicitation Ceremony 2026, celebrating the creativity, innovation and storytelling abilities of young participants from five schools across Delhi NCR on Aug 20. The ceremony recognized students who showcased their perspectives on important social and environmental issues through short films created under Panasonic’s global educational filmmaking initiative.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by senior leadership from Panasonic India, including Mr. Hirokazu Kamoda, Deputy Managing Director, Panasonic Life Solutions India, and MD, Panasonic HVAC & CC India; Mr. Adarsh Mishra, CHRO & Director, External Affairs & Sustainability, Panasonic India; and Mr. Satyendra Nagar, Senior Executive, Panasonic Life Solutions India, who felicitated the participating students and acknowledged the contribution of the schools and teacher coordinators in making the programme a success.
The student entries were evaluated by a distinguished jury comprising Mr. Dhiraj Sharma, Head of Marketing and Public Relations, Panasonic Life Solutions India, and Mr. Hardeep Sarna, Business Chief – Imaging Business, Panasonic Life Solutions India, as internal jury members, along with Mr. Kshitij Sheetak, Founder of ShootGuru, who served as the external jury member.
As part of the KWN programme, Panasonic Life Solutions India partnered with five schools across Delhi NCR, supporting students through training, guidance and access to video production equipment. Following hands-on workshops, students gained practical experience in operating Panasonic LUMIX cameras and other filmmaking equipment before creating and submitting short films based on selected Sustainable Development Goals.
Now in its third year in India, Kid Witness News (KWN) is Panasonic’s global educational video production initiative that encourages children to explore real-world challenges through filmmaking. The programme aims to help students develop creativity, communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills while giving them hands-on experience in video production.
Operating under the theme “The World Through Their Eyes,” the initiative encourages students in the Primary (10–12 years) and Secondary (13–18 years) categories to research, script, shoot and edit short films inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while developing creativity, communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills through hands-on learning.
