Infosys (NSE, BSE, NYSE: INFY), a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, on March 26 announced the launch of Infosys Springboard Makerlab, at the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, in Pune. The new lab, a first of its kind, will provide young learners with hands-on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, with the aim to help them become more employable. Infosys Springboard Makerlab offers access to a range of cutting-edge technologies, including educational DIY kits and equipment related to science, electronics, robotics, microcontrollers, Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), drones, and 3D printing. It provides access to advanced technology and experiential learning that aims to equip students with the skills needed for Industry 4.0, automation, and digital transformation.

Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, said, “Together with Infosys, we are preparing students to excel in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. The establishment of Infosys Springboard Makerlab is a testament to our collaborative efforts to modernize the educational ecosystem in the country and empower students to become active creators and problem-solvers. By bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, this Lab aligns with the National Education Policy 2024.”

Thirumala Arohi, EVP and Head – Education, Training, and Assessment, Infosys, said, “The launch of Infosys Springboard Makerlab at Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, in Pune, marks a significant step in ensuring seamless transition for young learners, from education to employability. This collaborative initiative will provide students with relevant and necessary hands-on experiences and help advance STEM education in the country. Through this lab, we aim to inspire the next generation of creators and problem-solvers and help in the creation of a future-ready workforce that can tackle the challenges of an increasingly automated and digitized world.”
