IMI Delhi’s 41st Convocation Ceremony: Diplomas conferred on 428 graduates ,1 FPM scholar

IMI Delhi – a corporate-sponsored business school, hosted its 41st convocation ceremony celebrating the graduation of its 428 students that included scholars from the Fellow Program in Management (FPM).

Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson, PwC in India, who attended as Chief Guest, alongside esteemed members of the IMI Board of Governors, including Mr. Sabyasachi Bhattacharya, President – Corporate HR, RPSG Group & Member, Board of Governors, IMI presiding as Convocation Chairperson; Dr. Himadri Das, Director General IMI;  and other distinguished dignitaries. 

The 2025 graduating cohort includes students from the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), PGDM (Human Resources Management), PGDM (Banking &Financial Services), PGDM (18 Months) programmes, as well as the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). The convocation recognised the exceptional academic and extracurricular accomplishments of the graduates, along with their meaningful contributions to both the Institute and society.

Saloni Mirania (PGDM Batch 2023-25), Shaurya Sharma(PGDM (HRM) Batch 2023-25), Meghna(PGDM (B&FS) Batch 2023-25), and Ashutosh Bhatnagar (PGDM Batch 2023-24) were awarded the Gold Medal. The prestigious Dr. Rama Prasad Goenka Best Student Medal for outstanding academic performance was presented to Vrinda Gupta(PGDM Batch 2023-25). Sakshi(PGDM Batch 2023-25), Nandini Mathur(PGDM (HRM) Batch 2023-25), Gyanesh Tripathi (PGDM (B&FS) Batch 2023-25), and Varishth Trivedi (PGDM Batch 2023-24) received the Silver Medal. This year, IMI also introduced the Dean’s List, honoring the top five percent students of a program, for their outstanding academic excellence.

In his address to the students, Dr. Himadri Das, Director General, IMI, said, “get out of your comfort zones, take risks, fail fast, and keep learning by remaining curious.”

Delivering the convocation address, Mr. Krishan congratulated the graduating cohort and shared with them his learnings over the years through the acronym GROWTH. He highlighted the importance of being genuine, nurturing strong relationships, staying open to change, prioritising “we” – thinking of the wider ecosystem, introspecting often to maintain a positive temperament, and finally to stay humble always.

Mr. Sabyasachi Bhattacharya, Convocation Chairperson, extended his congratulations to the graduates and urged them to carry the spirit of curiosity, the courage to challenge the status quo, and the commitment to lifelong learning. Remain grounded in humility, never stop asking questions, and always strive for excellence in whatever you do.

IMI Delhi also recognised its distinguished alumni for their outstanding contributions to industry and society. The Distinguished Alumni Awards were presented to  Mr. Amlan Pati (PGDM 2013) – General Manager – Category Head Galaxy S series, Samsung, Ms. Shilpa Dureja Puri (PGPM 2005) – Director Marketing – Luxury, Flagship & Ecosystem, Samsung and Mr. Sidharth Gupta (PGDM – HRM 2011) – Global Director- Talent Acquisition, Junglee Games, Flutter Group for exemplary leadership,  innovation in their field, and significant community impact, celebrating their continued commitment to excellence and the IMI legacy.
