The camp features two specialized tracks designed to cater to different age groups and learning needs: the Summer Camp for students in classes 6 to 8, and the Teach Like a Friend (TLF) program, tailored exclusively for girls in classes 9 to 12. Both tracks promote holistic development through academic enrichment, creative exploration, and life skills training.

A total of 400 students are enrolled, with a diverse demographic distribution:

●        Summer Camp (Classes 6 to 8) includes 137 boys and 146 girls, spread across three grades.
●        Teach Like a Friend (TLF) hosts 116 girls from classes 9th to 12th.

Under the guidance of over 80 dedicated student volunteers and five experienced student coordinators, participants will engage in a dynamic blend of educational and recreational activities. The curriculum will seamlessly combine classroom and lab sessions, ensuring a balance of theoretical concepts and hands-on learning experiences.

For students in classes 6 to 8, academic modules will include AstroGeo, Introduction to AI, Experimental Sciences, Critical Reasoning, and Product Development & Selling. Afternoons will feature vibrant activities such as Dramatics, Arts & Crafts, Public Speaking, PlayZone, and Indoor Sports, fostering creativity and teamwork.

Meanwhile, the TLF program for classes 9 to 12 will offer essential academic subjects like Mathematics, English, Physics, Computer Science, and General Testing. Additionally, participants will explore engaging post-lunch modules including Shark Tank, Design & Fashion, Mystery Labs, Theatre & Dance, and more, cultivating both academic readiness and creative thinking.

To further enhance the learning experience, the camp will incorporate interactive worksheets, quizzes, and rewards that recognize and celebrate student achievements. Each session has been thoughtfully designed to deepen conceptual understanding while ensuring learning remains enjoyable and impactful.

The camp also places a strong emphasis on student well-being. Participants will be served nutritious, balanced meals during recess, carefully curated to include a variety of vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and fresh fruit juices. This communal dining experience aims to foster conversations, build friendships, and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Summer Camp commenced with an inspiring inaugural ceremony, graced by esteemed guests including Dr. Ranjan Bose (Director, IIIT-Delhi), Dr. Deepika Bhaskar (Registrar), and other esteemed faculty, highlighting the Institute’s dedication to holistic education and youth empowerment.

Reflecting on the occasion, Dr. Ranjan Bose shared: “The Summer Camp at IIIT-Delhi offers a unique, immersive experience in a vibrant academic setting, helping students build soft skills in a fun, engaging way. With near-equal gender participation, students explore diverse topics: from astronomy to product design, and from critical reasoning to dramatics. The camp’s interdisciplinary approach is designed to nurture creativity, confidence, and collaboration, encouraging learning beyond the classroom.  Each session of the camp brings new opportunities for self-discovery and skill-building, helping students develop essential life skills. We hope these experiences leave a lasting impact on their personal growth and inspire them to face future challenges with courage and curiosity.”

Building on its strong legacy of excellence, the 9th edition of the Summer Camp is poised to inspire, empower, and transform the next generation of learners, continuing IIIT-Delhi’s mission to shape future leaders and innovators.
