Galgotias University based in Greater Noida On May 9 hosted its 9th Convocation Ceremony in which academic achievements of 5,123-degree recipients across diverse disciplines was celebrated. Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal was the Chief Guest. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak, Aman Gupta, CEO of boAt, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament (Gautam Buddh Nagar), MLA Dhirendra Singh, and noted educationist Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak were among those who attended.
Addressing the convocation, Union Minister Goyal commended Galgotias University, describing it as a testament to India’s innovation and intellectual capital. He called upon graduates to serve as global ambassadors of India’s growth story, underscoring their pivotal role in advancing a self-reliant, globally competitive nation. Reaffirming the government’s vision for “Education for All” and universal healthcare access by 2047, Shri Goyal positioned India’s development journey as both inclusive and forward-looking. He pointed to infrastructural milestones such as the Jewar International Airport as emblematic of India’s growing influence on the global stage and the expanding opportunities for young Indians.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak applauded the university’s role in fostering technological leadership and societal transformation, urging graduates to leverage innovation for nation-building.
Chancellorof the university, Suneel Galgotia added, “For us, education is not a business but a powerful tool for social transformation.” Galgotias University continues to set new benchmarks in higher education, attracting students and scholars from India and abroad with its global outlook and commitment to academic excellence.
