Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), New Delhi, has been named aย PRME Champion for the 2026โ27 cycle, joining a global cohort ofย 50 business schoolsย recognized for their leadership in advancing responsible management education aligned with theย United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Supported by theย United Nations Global Compact, theย Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)ย initiative brings together institutions committed to integrating sustainability, ethics, and social responsibility into management education. The Champion status is awarded to institutions thatย demonstrateย measurable progress and actively contribute to global collaboration and innovation in responsible business education.
At FIIB, responsibility and sustainability are embedded across academic programs rather than treated as standalone themes. Currently,ย 72 per cent of coursesย in its flagshipย PGDM programย andย 65 per cent of courseworkย inย PGDMโFinancial Managementย incorporate SDG-linked perspectives, including ethical decision-making, responsible leadership, and sustainability-driven business practices.
Beyond classroom learning, FIIBโsย Social Internship Program (SIP)ย playsย a central roleย in translating learning into real-world impact. The credit-based program places students with social sector organizations to work on community challenges, enabling them to apply management tools in practical social contexts. To date,ย over 1,650 student internshipsย have been completed with partner organizations working across areas such as education access, livelihoods, and gender inclusion.

At FIIB, our focus has been on embedding responsibility and sustainability across teaching, practice, and community engagement, and this recognition affirms the direction of that effort.โย
The institute has also strengthened its approach to measuring social impact through anย SDG dashboard and responsibility reporting framework, tracking contributions across teaching, research, partnerships, and outreach. FIIB currently collaborates withย more than 50 social sector organizationsย andย maintainsย sustained engagement in community development initiatives, including projects underย Unnat Bharat Abhiyanย in adopted villages.
FIIBโs engagement with PRME has also enabled student participation on global platforms. In 2025, FIIB studentย Mansi Kaushikย representedย South and Central Asiaย atย UNGA Week in New Yorkย as part of the PRME Global Student Delegation, contributing to discussions on sustainability and youth leadership.
Graduates of FIIB are increasingly pursuing careers in areas such asย ESG strategy, renewable energy, corporate sustainability, and social enterprises, reflecting a broader shift in career aspirations among management graduates.
As part of the PRME Champions cohort, FIIB is expected to collaborate with peer institutions worldwide over the next two years to further strengthen responsible management practices and advance curriculum innovation in line with global sustainability priorities.
