Arch College of Design and Business to conduct AIEED SAT in December 2022

The All India Entrance Exam for Design Scholarship Aptitude Test (AIEED SAT) 2023 will be held between 26^th-30^th December 2022 by ARCH College of Design and Business. Interested students can apply online for the examination until 15^th December 2022 for 2023 batch from anywhere in the world.

ARCH conducts AIEED Exam every year for design aspirants to seek admissions to its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Fashion, Graphics, Digital Design, Product Design, Jewellery, & Interior Design streams.

The eligibility criteria to take admission in the UG courses are higher secondary. Students who have appeared for or cleared class 10+2 are qualified to take the AIEED Exam for UG level course while graduates or students pursuing graduation in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for PG Courses.

Under the AIEED SAT qualified students will be offered Scholarships worth Rs. 1.5 Crore on the basis of the following criteria: (any one would be applicable)

• Cumulative Result from 3 stages of AIEED Exam,
• Principals Recommendation
• Performance in past qualification,
• Income of the family,
• Welfare Schemes for Ward of a single mother, Servicemen, Craftsmen or artisan etc.
• Defense, Front Line Personnel & Educators
• Sports & International / National Winners
• Domicile scholarships for Rajasthan Students

In the assessing process, ARCH tries to know the students’ perceptions, attitude and approach towards the world to identify the potential talent who can compose future courses in the design field. The ‘Screening Process for Design Studies’ and its parts and stages aim to enable the students to do a self-discovery and in the process, help ARCH to identify the right aspirants rather than just evaluating the skills they possess.

ARCH is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan for Bachelor of Design Degree (B. Des) and Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA). ARCH is also affiliated to the Rajasthan ILD Skills University (RISU) for Master’s in Design and Entrepreneurship.  ARCH in strategic partnership with Pearson, is also accredited to deliver six BTEC Level 5 HND qualifications in Art and Design.

Putting more light on the AIEED 2023 exam, Prof. Benoy Thoompunkal, Director- International, Arch College of Design and Business said, “With AIEED Exam, we select introspective and thinking aspirants with the right attitude to take up the Design profession with full responsibility. This ‘Screening Process for Design’ therefore is beyond the usual Question – Answers approach. The exam is EXPERIENTIAL, USEFULLY EDUCATIVE, and FUN for the students who aspire to be future designers. As an innovative step in Screening for Design 2023, ARCH is going to test students’ openness to learn, perseverance, focus and toughness to take on challenges in the process of becoming design professionals.” 

The Overall Time given to the students is 24 Hours! It consists of 4 sections of Screening in a combined Exam:-

1. Psychological Endowments for Design screening (PED)
2. Comprehension Awareness Thinking & Articulation screening (CATA)

iii.                  Portfolio of Abilities (PoA) Statement of Purpose (SOP)

The Exam tests the attitude, aesthetic sense, creativity, and design sensitivity of students seeking fulfilling careers in the various fields of design. It also tests the reasoning, and problem-solving aptitude of the student.
