Macquarie University, one of Australia’s top 10 Universities, in collaboration with The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Hyderabad campus, has announced the launch of an innovative dual degree programme – Master of Arts in Public Policy and International Relations. It will be a two-year programme that offers students the opportunity to earn two postgraduate degrees from both institutions.
This programme is designed to equip aspiring policymakers with the interdisciplinary knowledge and skills essential for navigating the complexities of the present-day global landscape.
At TISS Hyderabad, students will delve into the intricacies of public policy and governance during the first year of the programme. Through a blend of theoretical insights and practical applications, they will develop the expertise to analyse policy frameworks, assess their impacts, and devise innovative solutions to pressing societal challenges.
The second year, hosted at Macquarie University in Sydney, will focus on the complexities of international relations in the rapidly evolving global context. Students will gain invaluable insights into global processes, regional dynamics, and the role of international organizations, preparing them to engage meaningfully with global affairs.
