Constitution Day marked in DLF Gurgaon neighborhood budget schools

Nathupur village in DLF Phase III, Gurugram Haryana, in a sense is the grand dormitory of the hundreds of menial workers serving the millennial city and by that extension more than 40 budget schools their daycare cum dream schools. The children like any other remain eager to learn and these schools do everything they could to educate them.

In this quest, three schools of the area, R.K. Public School, Swami Dayanand School and Swet Public School offered their students orientation sessions to mark the Constitution Day on November 26. S.W.A.M.I.T.R.A Trust as part of its project ‘Mission Empower India’ partnered the schools to make the session meaningful.

The children experienced an intellectual highlighter of the day by having open discussion on fundamental rights and duties and values contained in the Preamble of the Constitution showing unison as a mark of respect to the country’s history, struggle, and diversity.

Pradeep Susheelam, founder of S.W.A.M.I.T.R.A. Trust along with Prakarsh Srivastav founder of Chidagni Foundation, Avtar Nehru editor of Curriculum Magazine, Meena Chauhan Principal of Swami Dayanand School, Sweta Singh Principal of Swet Public School, Smt. Rekha Sharma Principal of R.K. Public School, Parveen Diwan In-charge of R.K. Public School, and PGD students of Jaipuria Institute Indore – Pravarshi Jain, Aman Maheshwari and Subhanshu participated in these live sessions. This day commemorated the project Mission Empower India by the S.W.A.M.I.T.R.A. Trust, with a vision to see their goal of India as a developed country in the next 25 years. Henceforth, with the collaborative goals of partnering organizations – Chidagni Foundation, Naya Savera Foundation, PRESS, Curriculum Magazine.

Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties are sound and effective in meeting India’s commitment to achieve United Nations’ SDG in the global forum. Therefore, bringing the required actionable steps in the school education, is a gateway to achieve the goals India is aiming for. Commenting on the initiative, Pradeep Susheelam said, “By following this, we are practicing our rights and performing our duties as a responsible citizen to serve our nation. Becoming a responsible citizen by these young children can take India towards the path of greatness and make it into a developed country by 2047, serving it as a gift to the country while we celebrate 100 years of Independence.”  Avtar Nehru of Curriculum Magazine read a pledge for the children to recite in unity, signifying their roles of serving as a responsible citizen to the country.
