University of East Anglia (UEA), one of the UK’s top 30 universities, is inviting applications for its Vice Chancellor’s Global Impact and Leadership Scholarship, aimed at international students planning to commence postgraduate studies in January 2027.
The application-based scholarship offers a £10,000 tuition fee award to successful applicants. The programme is designed to support students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to creating positive change through their future careers.
Candidates applying for the scholarship will be evaluated through a written application that explores both their academic motivations and broader outlook. Candidates will need to demonstrate their motivation for their chosen course and their interest in impacting the society in which they live.
Applications will be reviewed by scholarship panels in September and early November 2026. The deadline for submission for the January 2027 intake is 30 October 2026.

To be considered, applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible postgraduate taught programme commencing in January 2027, be classified as an overseas fee-paying student, and have achieved, or be expected to achieve, the equivalent of a UK 2:1 undergraduate degree. The scholarship is available only to self-funded students and excludes selected programmes, including Integrated Master’s degrees and online or distance-learning courses. It cannot be combined with any other UEA scholarship, except the International Early Payment Award.
Successful applicants must pay their tuition fee deposits within two weeks of being offered the award, if not already paid, to retain the award. Students who complete this step will also be eligible for the additional £500 early bird discount offered by UEA.
Successful applicants will receive the scholarship as a tuition fee discount and must confirm their acceptance by paying the tuition fee deposit within the stipulated timeframe. Students who meet UEA’s early payment criteria may also be eligible for an additional £500 tuition fee discount under the International Early Payment Award. The Deadline for UEA’s early payment discount is Friday 27 November 2026.
