The University of East Anglia (UEA), among the UK’s top 30 universities, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with K.R. Mangalam University (KRMU) to introduce a BBA Semester-Abroad Programme. This is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to deliver a seamless, globally integrated academic experience to Indian students.
Under this partnership, KRMU students will have the opportunity to study at UEA’s Norwich campus for one semester or a full academic year, gaining international exposure without compromising continuity in their home degree programme. The collaboration merges two leading academic institutions, offering students the best of both educational worlds.
The students enrolling in this programme will have the opportunity to engage with world-class faculty, immerse themselves in the UK’s dynamic higher education ecosystem, and develop the cross-cultural competencies increasingly demanded by global employers.
Under the BBA Semester‑Abroad Programme, students will undertake a full academic workload of 60 credits per semester (or 120 credits annually), with modules selected in consultation with KRMU to ensure alignment with their degree requirements. Each module carries 20 credits and includes a blend of structured learning and direct teaching hours. Students will be supported by dedicated academic advisers at UEA and assessed on par with their UEA peers, reinforcing the programme’s academic rigour.
A standout feature of this collaboration is a significant tuition fee waiver, making international education more financially accessible for Indian students without compromising academic quality. The programme is specifically designed to equip participants with industry-relevant skills, a global mindset, and the adaptability essential to thrive in today’s interconnected professional landscape.
Commenting on the partnership, Steven McGuire, Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) at UEA, said, “This agreement will give students a meaningful opportunity to broaden their perspectives, sharpen their thinking, and prepare for careers with a truly global scope. We very much look forward to welcoming KRMU students to Norwich and offering them an academically rigorous, internationally enriching experience.”
Students keen to pursue the BBA Semester-Abroad Programme are encouraged to visit the KRMU campus to learn more about eligibility criteria, the application process, and available academic pathways.
