Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), a leading institution for distance education in India, celebrated its Silver Jubilee with an inspiring and memorable evening recently in New Delhi. The landmark event brought together SCDL alumni, students, industry leaders, HR professionals, and distinguished guests for an evening of learning, recognition, and networking — commemorating 25 years of excellence in distance education.
The celebrations featured a series of impactful programs, headlined by an exclusive Career Growth Seminar titled “Venturing into the Real World” with renowned entrepreneur, author, and career mentor Ankur Warikoo. Drawing from his own journey and rich experience, Warikoo captivated the audience with practical insights on building a meaningful career, staying relevant in an evolving professional landscape, and aligning personal and professional goals with clarity and purpose.
In parallel, the event also hosted an HR Round Table Conference, a Leadership Masterclass by a Dale Carnegie Trainer, and an inspiring SCDL Film & Presentation, all of which underscored SCDL’s commitment to fostering thought leadership and professional development. The evening culminated in an Award Ceremony, recognizing achievers and contributors from the SCDL community and beyond.
Speaking at the event, Swati Manjumdar, Principal Director, SCDL, said:
“Completing 25 years is not just a milestone but a testament to our vision of democratizing quality education and making it accessible to learners everywhere. Over the years, SCDL has continually evolved to meet the needs of students and the industry, and this Silver Jubilee celebration reflects our commitment to innovation, excellence, and lifelong learning. We are grateful to our students, alumni, faculty, and partners who have been part of this journey, and we look forward to shaping many more success stories in the years to come.”
Speaking at the event, Ankur Warikoo said:
It was truly heartening to see such a diverse group of professionals, students, and leaders come together with a shared curiosity to learn and grow. In today’s fast-changing world, what matters most is not just acquiring skills but cultivating the mindset to adapt, stay curious, and create value — for oneself and for others. Empowering learners through flexible, quality education aligns beautifully with this ethos, and I’m honored to have been part of their Silver Jubilee celebrations.”
The evening reinforced SCDL’s vision of redefining distance education and enabling learners from all walks of life to achieve their career aspirations while balancing life’s demands.
