Marking the 19th edition of the flagship Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS) programme, Global Schools Group (GSG) felicitated 12 outstanding students who have earned fully funded opportunities to pursue their senior secondary education in Singapore.
The 2026 cohort represents exceptional young talent from different states across India. Eight scholars will continue their academic journey at the GIIS SMART Campus, Singapore, while four have been selected for the OWIS Digital Campus, Singapore. Chosen through a rigorous evaluation process, the students stood out for their academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to holistic development.
The scholarship felicitation ceremony held in Delhi on July 10 was graced by Dr. Biswajit Saha, Professor and Director of Skill Education and Training, CBSE, as the Chief Guest, alongside senior leaders from Global Schools Group. The event brought together scholarship recipients, parents, educators, and members of the Global Schools Group community to celebrate not only the achievements of the scholars but also the transformative power of education in shaping future leaders with a global outlook.
“The Global Citizen Scholarship represents much more than financial assistance. It is an investment in young minds with the potential to lead, innovate, and create meaningful impact,” said Mr. Pramod Tripathi, Director, Academics, Global Schools Group. “Each scholar selected this year has demonstrated not only academic excellence but also the resilience, curiosity, and values needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. We are proud to support them as they embark on this transformative journey,” he added.
Established in 2008, the GCS is GSG’s flagship initiative, embodying the institution’s commitment to educational equity and quality. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees, boarding, and living expenses for the crucial senior secondary education years (Grades 11 and 12), enabling scholars to thrive at GIIS SMART Campus, Singapore and OWIS Digital Campus Singapore. Known for its world-class infrastructure, top-tier facilities, and highly skilled teaching staff, GIIS offers students the choice between the CBSE and IBDP curricula. Under this flagship programme, students also receive boarding, lodging, and a generous stipend, with zero tuition fees for the entire duration. The total investment amounts to Rs 1 crore per student for two years, fully funded by the GCS programme.
