The ongoing collaboration between O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) based in Sonipat (Haryana) and Pace University, New York is being upgraded with the introduction of joint programs between the two. A delegation of the Pace led by President, Professor Marvin Krislov, after visiting JGU campus and holding talks with their counterparts, decided to improve further on existing student exchange programmes.

An agreement to be signed on Semester Abroad Agreement between Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF), and the Lubin School of Business at Pace University paves way towards creating an exciting and transformative experience for students of O.P Jindal Global University. Under the Semester Abroad Agreement, students from JGBS and JSBF will have the chance to immerse themselves in the academic environment of the Lubin School of Business. This international exposure will provide them with invaluable and enriching cross-cultural learning experience, gaining access to expert faculty members at Pace University.

Furthermore, an agreement for a short-term study abroad programme for JGU students at Pace University will also be signed between Pace University and O.P Jindal Global University. This agreement offers students from JGU a unique opportunity to participate in the specially designed and customised course that delve deep into the nuances of Business, Entrepreneurship and Finance. Both the agreements aim to empower students with a global perspective and equip them with invaluable skills of a lifetime.

Prof. (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor JGU, expressing his enthusiasm on the next phase of internationalization his university said, “We have taken a step further in internationalization by deciding to align our courses with the Pace curriculum to address the gaps by course mapping for seamless credit transfer and naturalization. Our four-year UG courses in particular are being designed with this process in mind. In addition to semester abroad which could be any number (1, 2 0r 3), we have also agreed on short term courses or professional experiences starting with 3 weeks and I am hopeful, it will work for all of our 12 schools.”

Professor Marvin Krislov, President, Pace University said, “U.S. colleges transform students’ lives — and through them families and even communities. Over the next decade we have to be prepared for the technological landscape to change and students will need to upskill to match that. Providing access to that power is Pace’s historic mission. And we have been already doing collaborative work with partners in India and with this, we hope to move together to engage with students from India.”

The Pace University delegation also included Professor (Dr.) Jonathan Hill, Dean of the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems; Professor (Dr.) Sonia Suchday, Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department, Board of Trustees Member;   Professor Andre Cordon, Dean of International Admissions ;  Professor (Dr.) John Meletiadis, Assistant Dean and Professor at the Lubin School of Business; Deborah Zeger, Executive Director of Development Operations & Annual Giving; and Professor (Dr.) P.V. Viswanath, Chair of the Graduate Program in the Department of Finance and Economics.
