NIIT University (NU), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Addverb Technologies, a robotics and automation solutions major to build a strong ecosystem of innovation, research, and skill development in emerging technologies, particularly Robotics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Under this collaboration, NU and Addverb Technologies will jointly work towards:
- Establishing long-term industry–academia collaboration to bridge the gap between education and the future workforce.
- Providing knowledge-intensive, job-oriented education for students and graduates in Robotics & Automation.
- Enhancing employability and industry readiness through structured learning, real-world exposure, and hands-on projects.
- Co-developing academic programmes such as B.Tech and M.Tech in specialized areas.
- Setting up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at NU dedicated to research, innovation, and startup incubation.
The partnership will open multiple opportunities for students, including industry practice and internships at Addverb facilities and customer sites, placement opportunities aligned with Addverb’s recruitment policies, and domain-specific training sessions on Robotics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence. Students will also gain exposure to live projects and innovation initiatives that address real-world industry challenges, along with upskilling opportunities to acquire competencies required in the global robotics and automation sectors. Faculty members at NU will play a central role by collaborating with Addverb experts in curriculum design, mentoring student projects, and engaging in joint research, consultancy, and training programmes
Prof Prakash Gopalan, President, NIIT University, said, “This partnership with Addverb Technologies will enable our students to gain direct exposure to cutting-edge technologies, live projects, and industry best practices, ensuring they graduate with future-ready skills. It further strengthens our commitment to building strong academia-industry linkages that nurture innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. By integrating real-world experiences into the learning journey, we are preparing our students not just for their first jobs, but for long-term leadership in the evolving fields of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence.”
