Monash University from Australia has launched dual degrees in Information Technology and Computer Science with Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS). The dual degree programs in Computer Science and Information Technology (IT) will allow students to graduate with bachelor degrees from each institution.
Students will commence their Computer Applications, or IT degree, at MRIIRS before transferring to Monash to complete two years of the bachelor degree in specialisations including Business Information systems, Software Development, Data Science and Cybersecurity.
Monash University Faculty of IT Dean, Professor Ann Nicholson, said these dual degrees reflect a shared commitment to enhance the student experience and equip students with the interdisciplinary expertise, innovative mindset, and practical skills needed to lead and adapt in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Sanya Bhalla, Executive Director, International Affairs and Collaborations and MRIIRS, said MRIIRS students can commence at Monash University as early as February 2026.
“By creating dynamic pathways that blend the strengths of Monash University and MRIIRS, we are empowering students with world-class education and an innovation-driven mindset needed for global leadership,” Ms Bhalla said.
