K J Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM), a leading B-School fromMumbai, in collaboration with Jio Creative Labs (JCL), a leading content and brand marketing agency, is announcing the launch of its new MBA – Marketing Communications. The programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the dynamic demands of the marketing and communications industry.
Co-designed and jointly delivered by faculty at KJSIM and creative leaders at JCL, this two-year full-time MBA offers students a unique opportunity to combine strategic marketing foundations with hands-on creative execution. With a blended learning format—3 days of classroom sessions at KJSIM’s campus in Vidyavihar, and 2 days at JCL’s headquarters in Mumbai—students apply theory to real-world brand challenges from day one.
“Our MBA Marketing Communications, in collaboration with JCL, is an industry-integrated MBA. Considering the rapid technological advancements in marketing and media, MBA programmes must adapt their curricula and pedagogical methods to meet the industry changes. With an emphasis on relevance and experiential learning, the students spend 3 days on campus building a strong theoretical understanding of the subject, augmented by 2 days of on-the-job learning. The curriculum is dynamic – students will learn from industry veterans and faculty who are experts in the field of marketing communications,” said Dr Raman Ramachandran, Dean & Director, K J Somaiya Institute of Management.
“Students will explore different verticals such as client servicing, business development, content strategy, digital marketing, and celebrity management throughout the course. KJSIM’s programme, in partnership with JCL, ensures relevancy and meets the industry requirement of making graduates who are day-one ready.”
