The National Technology Day is celebrated each year on May 11 to commemorate the successful nuclear test at Pokhran, Rajasthan, in 1998 and to mark significant achievements in science and technology. The theme for National Technology Day 2024, is  ‘From schools to start-ups: Igniting minds to innovate.’

Delhi Public School (DPS), Bopal marked the National Technology Day through a series of events to celebrate the spirit of innovation and technological advancement and showcase the talent and creativity of its students. The events throughout the week from May 3 to 9 to commemorate the occasion, aimed at nurturing creativity and arousing curiosity among students.

Students of grades 2 to 5 were given ideas to innovate through various projects and videos, followed by a fun quiz.

Cyber safety and security expert Ronik Shah addressed students of grades 9 and 10, sharing his insights into online safety measures, protection against cyber fraud, and cyber laws. The session saw students actively engage with the speaker and gain practical knowledge about the vital issue.

A poster-making activity, centred around the theme of “Cyber Safety and Security” was also organised for students of grades 6 to 8, providing them with a creative outlet to express their thoughts and ideas on the importance of online safety. Through sketching and colouring, the young students showcased their understanding of cyber threats and the measures needed to stay safe in the digital world.

Students of grades 6 to 8 were also empowered with crucial knowledge for navigating the digital world with real-life cyber fraud cases using videos and presentations about cyber safety and security.

Similarly, the Code Warrior Club at Atal Lab organised an Inter-House TechHaven competition, enabling students of grades 9 and 10 to demonstrate their innovation and creativity. With participation from all six houses, the students collaborated in diverse teams, brainstormed ideas, and presented imaginative solutions that showcased their problem-solving skills and technological prowess.
