Anant National University, Ahmadabad, has announced the launch of a new undergraduate programme, Bachelor of Visual Arts. The students opting for the degree-course can specialise in Painting, Sculpting and Multimedia. The course is offered by Anant National University’s Centre for Visual Arts.
The 4-year undergraduate degree provides students a solid grounding in studio art practices integrating traditional arts and crafts and contemporary creative systems. Aspiring designers and artists will learn visual art concepts, research and studio skills, and critical thinking and practices. They will develop essential research, writing, and critical reasoning skills with conceptual foundations for creative inquiry. In the final semester, students will work with two mentors of their choice to build their portfolio and present it to public viewing in the Graduate Show.
Commenting on the launch of the programme, Dr. Anunaya Chaubey, Provost, Anant National University, said, “The Bachelor of Visual Arts course is perfect for students who possess the ability to think critically, are creative, curious and ready to challenge the boundaries of art and explore the transformative potential of visual arts in the immediate world.”
Interested candidates can enroll in the programme and the last date for the Early Admission process is till 19th June 2022 and second round is till 15th July 2022. The class for programme will commence in August 2022.
