Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI), in collaboration with ABB India, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art smart center for electrician training at Sai Dham, Faridabad. The center is designed to provide cutting-edge training to young individuals, equipping them with the skills necessary to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

The training program at the smart center will involve an end-to-end management solution that begins with screening and selecting the right candidates. These individuals will undergo an extensive training regimen of over 540 hours, spanning approximately 90 days. This rigorous curriculum is designed to ensure that trainees receive practical, hands-on experience that meets the latest industry standards. Upon completion, ESSCI will work closely with industry partners to facilitate job placements, ensuring that the trainees can transition smoothly into employment.

The inauguration marks a pivotal step in the ongoing efforts to bridge the skills gap in India’s electronics sector. The initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on enhancing vocational training to create a skilled workforce that can meet industry demands. Dr. Motilal Gupta, Founder President of Sai Dham, along with Sanjay Joon, Commissioner of Faridabad Division, Dr Sunil Gulati, Chief Information Officer of the Haryana Government, Dr Abhilasha Gaur, CEO, ESSCI, Mr Sujeet Gosain, HR Head, ABB & Major Dhiraj Yadav, Admin Officer, ABB were present at the inauguration ceremony held in second week of August.

This partnership is set to deliver a comprehensive program aimed at not only training but also providing job opportunities for young electricians.

Dr Abhilasha Gaur, CEO, ESSCI, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “This partnership with ABB India represents a significant milestone in our mission to empower the youth with the skills needed to succeed in today’s job market. By focusing on both upskilling current workers and training new entrants, we are creating a sustainable pipeline of talent ready to meet the evolving demands of the electronics industry.”
