RV University has opened admissions for the year 2023-24. The university is accepting applications for admission for all its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across its six schools – School of Business, School of Economics, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Design and Innovation, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and its newly launched School of Law. The university is also offering merit scholarships for deserving students.
Candidates can apply through the online application available on the University’s website https://admissions.rvu.edu.in/.
The eligibility criteria for the undergraduate programme is a 10+2 or equivalent completion certificate from CBSE, ISC, IB, Cambridge, State Boards and other Govt. recognized boards. The selection criteria will be based on applicant’s performance in RV Scholastic Admission Test (RVSAT) and RV University’s selection process. RVSAT is the national-level entrance exam for all UG and PG programmes of RV University.
School of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers a four-year Bachelor of Liberal Arts (B.L.A.) with an exit option at the end of third year with B.Sc. in environmental science/psychology/filmmaking or a B.A. degree in film studies/literature and cultural studies/India studies/political and international relations/philosophy.
The School of Design and Innovation offers a four-year B.Des. degree with four specialisations to choose from – communication design, product design, spatial and interior design and user experience design. and the two-year M.Des degree offers specialisation in user experience design.
The School of Computer Science and Engineering offers a wide range of programmes both for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Keeping in line with the School’s motto, ‘Where ideas ignite minds’, it is focussed on imparting 21st century skills through experiential, holistic learning rather than exam-oriented learning. The programmes offered are four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) with a major in computer science/data science/decision sciences and B.Tech. (Hons.) in Computer science and engineering with majors in AI and ML/Networks. The students have several options to choose from AI, Machine Learning and Data Science/ Full Stack Application Development in Cloud/Networks, IoT and Cybersecurity/Metaverse, AR/VR and gaming for specialisation.
In addition, the School of Computer Science and Engineering offers several two-year PG programmes for full-time students as well as for working professionals. The programmes offered are M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in VLSI Design in collaboration with RV Skills/AI, ML and data science in collaboration with upGrad campus. The School also offers five-year integrated programme in B.Tech. (Hons.) Computer Science and Engineering along with MBA.
The School of Economics offers both UG and PG programmes in the field of economics – B.A. (Hons.) Economics and M.A. Economics. The School aims at creating critical-thinking individuals with strong disciplinary understanding of ‘Economics of the real world to solve real problems’
The School of Business offers four-year UG programmes, with exit options available after the third year, which have been designed keeping in view the emerging business environment. The offerings are aligned to its vision of ‘Rethinking management education: knowing, doing, innovating.’ Candidates can apply for the B.B.A. (Hons.) with specialisation in finance/entrepreneurship/marketing/business/human resource management or for B.Com. (Hons.) and opt for specialisation in finance & accounting/banking & insurance/wealth management.
The School of Law which aims to transform legal education offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Students can enrol for five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) or B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). or LL.M.
