Five young footballers from Hyderabad have brought international recognition to the city by representing India at an International Youth Football Tournament in Carolina, USA, where youth teams from around the world competed, giving the Indian youngsters an opportunity to test their skills against international opposition.
The players — Akshaan, Aditya, Arjun, Jasim Nawaz Khan and Saif Qureshi — represented Grasshopper Sports India and returned to Hyderabad after an eight-day international football tour. The youngsters put up commendable performances, showcasing their talent, discipline, teamwork and competitive spirit against teams from several footballing nations.
The tournament featured youth teams representing countries including Brazil, Portugal, France, Italy, Japan, Ecuador, Norway, Sweden and the United States, making it a valuable international learning experience for the Hyderabad players.
For the youngsters, the tournament provided an opportunity not only to compete at a higher level but also to experience different styles of football, understand international standards of competition and interact with young footballers from across the world.
