ESFI’s BGMI National Grind Season 1 showcases India’s Top Emerging Talent

The Electronic Sports Federation of India (ESFI) successfully concluded the first major bracket of its inaugural National Grind – Season 1, featuring the widely popular title, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The tournament, held from September 1st to 14th, witnessed massive participation from across the country, with over 300 teams and approximately 1,200 players competing for the championship title.

The BGMI National Grind provided a crucial platform for both established and emerging esports talent to showcase their skills, strategic depth, and teamwork. The event’s structure, which progressed from open qualifiers to a high-stakes Grand Finale, ensured a rigorous and competitive environment, ultimately crowning the nation’s best team while highlighting the depth of India’s BGMI community.

“We had an amazing experience at the BGMI National Grind tournament organized by ESFI,” said the captain of the winning team. “The event was well-structured, competitive, and gave us the perfect platform to showcase our skills. Huge thanks to ESFI for creating such opportunities for players across the country!”

The tournament was lauded by participants for its professional organization and seamless execution. The runner-up team captain commented, “Placing second in this tournament isn’t a loss; it’s a statement. We came, we fought, and we proved we’re among the best. This is just the beginning for us. We’ll be back stronger, more determined, and ready to claim that top spot. Thank you for hosting such a competitive and well-run tournament. The event was incredibly smooth, and your clear communication and prompt support were a huge help. You created a fantastic environment for players to showcase their skills. We appreciate all the hard work that went into making this event a success.”

FLYNN ESPORTS, which secured third place, also praised the event while offering constructive feedback. “We at FLYNN ESPORTS are pleased to have secured 3rd place in the ESFI event. The overall experience was commendable, the event production and casting were of high quality, and the IDs and passwords were managed promptly and efficiently. However, our only concern is the absence of a prize pool. We kindly request the organizers to consider including a prize pool in future events to further encourage and support the participating teams.”

Congratulating the participants, Vinod Tiwari, President, Electronic Sports Federation of India, said, “The overwhelming response to the BGMI National Grind – Season 1 is a testament to the passion and talent that exists within India’s esports community. Our goal with the National Grind is to create a sustainable, nationwide circuit where every player has the opportunity to compete, improve, and be recognized. The feedback from players is invaluable, and we are committed to continually enhancing the competitive ecosystem, including exploring prize pools for future editions. We are immensely proud of all the teams and look forward to building on this success.”

The ESFI National Grind series is designed to be a foundational pillar of India’s competitive esports calendar, offering a clear pathway for aspiring athletes to progress from grassroots competition to national recognition.
